About us

Alphavillage Ecological refuge is a project that aims at the recovery of a degraded area of the Atlantic Forest. During 13 years, 40 thousand native trees were planted. In 1997, the area became part of IBAMA’s project of reintroduction of wild animals that have been apprehended from illegal captivity.

In order to add sustainability to the project, a infrastructure with seven bungalows was built in the area. All the bungalows follow the same guidelines that respect to nature, and are constructed with FSC certified wood. The project also introduced a number of activities that promote the integration with the environment such as adventure sports, wildlife observation and environmental education.
